Yiji

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 22, 2026

Yiji is a private journal. We process only what we need to run the service, and we protect your content with encryption.

This policy applies to the Yiji international edition — the iOS app “Yiji: Ganzhi Daily Journal” and global.jiazidiary.com — operated by Xingtai Xi’ao Electronic Science and Technology Co., Ltd. (“we”, “us”).

1. Information we process

2. How we use it

To provide and secure the service, sync your content across your devices, generate the readings you request, provide support, and improve the product.

For users in the EEA and the UK, our legal bases are performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interest in running and improving a secure service, and your consent where we ask for it.

We do not sell your personal information, do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and do not use your content to target ads.

3. AI features

Saving an entry never sends it to AI. Only when you start a reading and confirm its scope do we send the information needed for that reading to our AI model provider, which processes it to generate the reading and may not use it for any other purpose.

AI-generated content is for reflection only and is not professional advice.

4. Service providers

We use a small number of trusted providers, each only for its part of the service:

We do not disclose your personal information to other third parties except where required by law or with your consent.

5. Where your data is stored

Our servers and storage are located in Japan, which the European Commission recognizes as providing an adequate level of protection for personal data.

6. Security

Your content is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is limited to what is needed to provide the service.

7. Your rights

You can view, edit, export and delete your content, and delete your account, at any time in the app.

Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct, delete or port your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. Residents of the EEA and the UK may lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority. California residents have the right to know, delete and correct their personal information, and will not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

To make a request, email support@jiazidiary.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

8. Retention

We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete your account, after a seven-day cooling-off period we delete your personal content, except records we must keep by law, such as transaction records.

9. Children

Yiji is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. In the EEA and the UK, users under 16 may use Yiji only with the consent of a parent or guardian. If we learn that we have collected a child’s information without such consent, we will delete it.

10. Other people’s information

If you enter someone else’s birth details — for example, in Pairs — please make sure they agree. Their information is used only to produce the reading you request.

11. Changes and contact

We may update this policy and will post the new version here with a new date; material changes will also be notified in the app.
